[Poster Presentation] Performance evaluation of ACO-OFDM method with dither signal for PAPR reduction

Abstract(in English) In radio communication, there is a scheme that can reduce the peak power ofthe OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signal using a dithersignal. In this paper, we apply the peak reduction scheme using a dithersignal to the optical wireless communication, especially to the ACO-OFDM(Asymmetrically Clipped Optical OFDM) method. By using the above peakreduction scheme, we can design the dither signal so as not to intereferewith the data-carrying subcarriers in the ACO-OFDM method. The results of the computer simulation show that the ACO-OFDM method with adither signal achieves not only almost the same BER performance, but alsoa good PAPR performance, as compared to those of the conventional ACO-OFDMmethod.
