Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Human activity recognition using Wi-Fi CSI (Channel State Information) has been widely studied recently. CSI has advantages of low deployment cost and less privacy concern. On the other hand, CSI-based human activity recognition requires a heavy human effort for training data collection for each environment. One of solutions is Wi-Fi imaging which maps signal strength for each direction based on phase difference between antennas of an array. Because the phase difference is calculated based on the inter-antenna distance, Wi-Fi imaging is performed independently of environment. If Wi-Fi imaging is capable of capturing locations and/or poses of humans, it may be applicable to human localization and/or activity recognition. In this paper, we implemented Wi-Fi CSI imaging by an array of four antennas and conducted preliminary experiment by using a copper plate. From the results, we confirmed that imaging of the copper plate is possible for the angles between 60 and 120 degrees to the surface of the antenna array in the environment without reflection from surroundings. |
