| Abstract(in English) | Interpersonal communications through video chat software has become essential since a remote work is now encouraged. When someone uses video chats software in his personal spaces such as the home, a virtual background functionality is indispensable for the privacy protection. In this study, we incorporate a new method of reconstructing indoor background information that should remain secret by leveraging the instability in virtual backgrounds. Also, we evaluate the effectiveness of current privacy protection for video chat software widely used by the public to demonstrate the requirements for advanced privacy protection techniques. |
