Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Commercial services of 5th generation mobile communication system (5G) are expanding. In 5G, Massive MIMO -based beamforming (BF) compensates the larger path-loss in millimeter-wave (mmW) bands such as 28 GHz band. In order to realize further enhancement of 5G (5G Evolution), conversion from analog BF to hybrid BF and fully digital BF is required to improve mmW-band transmission performances. In addition, base station (BS) cooperation technologies are needed to provide stable and reliable mmW-band communication at the cell edge, when mobile stations (MSs) travel in high mobility. This report examines the direction of BS’s antenna arrays and a MIMO multiplexing scheme suitable for the BS cooperation, when three BSs cooperate. Computer simulations clarify the effect of the deployment method of BSs on downlink throughput when one MS moves at a velocity of 90 km/h.
