Abstract(in English) | In this study, we propose variable spreading factor codes based on generalized modified prime sequence codes (GMPSCs), which are spreading codes used in synchronous optical code-division multiple access (CDMA). The proposed codes are unipolar spreading codes constructed using a tree structure. When the proposed codes are applied to synchronous optical CDMA systems with appropriate interference cancellation schemes, multi-user interference between the codewords with different spreading factors is canceled at decoding. In this paper, we describe how to construct the variable spreading factor codes based on GMPSCs and show those characteristics. We also discuss a superimposed transmission scheme using the proposed codes. |
