Realization Method of Integrated Vehicular Networking on Location-based P2P Platform and Its Evaluation

Abstract(in English) Recently, location-based services (LBS), which provides an appropriate service based on each user’s location, have widely spread. However, since each LBS is implemented as a unique application software, it is necessary to concurrently use them while switching the application software for receiving multiple services. As one of the LBS integration ideas for vehicles, dynamic map have been studied. However, it aims to assist autonomous driving, and therefore it does not assume to directly use itself by users themselves. In this paper, we propose a realization method of integrated LBS for vehicles on the basis of a location-based mobile communication platform. In addition, we implemented the proposed method into Android smartphones and conducted a subjective evaluation experiment to clarify its effectiveness and usability.
