A Study on Level Estimation of Radio Noise and Interference using Radio Monitoring Node

Abstract(in English) Since various applications with different usage, required quality of experience (QoE) and importance have been more and more emerged, autonomously distributed wireless communication systems that can accommodate more applications are necessary. In this paper, we propose a method to estimate the power level of weak radio noise and interference for fine network and access control in such autonomously distributed wireless communication systems. First, we show a way to obtain a power histogram around a target cell by using Radio Catcher, that has been developed by the authors. Next, we show a way to calculate a representative power-level of the weak radio noise/interference such as the mean power or the power at a certain cumulative probability. Finally, we confirm that our proposed method can obtain the representative value of the weak radio noise/interference.
