Abstract(in English) | This paper presents preamble detection probability of Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) with long sequence based on the New Radio (NR) radio interface for the five Tapped Delay Line (TDL) channel models for 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP). Computer simulation results show that PRACH format 1 exhibits the higher preamble detection probability than Format 0 due to the effect of preamble repetition in the very low average received SNR region. we also show that PRACH Format 2 and Format 3 can decrease the required average received SNR satisfying the target preamble detection probability by approximately 4.5 - 5.0 dB compared to Format 0. When multiple sets of user equipment (UE) transmit the PRACH simultaneously, the impact of inter-UE interference on the PRACH preamble is small and that the high PRACH preamble detection probability is achieved in the low average received SNR region even with the difference in the average received signal power level among simultaneous UEs. |
