[Tutorial Lecture] The Analysis of a Sound Wave Complexity for Keeping Sound Environment

Abstract(in English) We are conducting the study of evaluating method for environmental sound using complexity of time series wave of amplitude to keep good sound environment or soundscape. Since then, we have shown that it is possible to use Fractal dimension to evaluate wave complexity, our hearing can identify difference of Fractal dimension and Fractal dimension measured in railroad area or around airport reflects the features of those. This paper is introducing the difference of environmental sound and noise and the administrative measures for noise issue in Japan. In addition, we are describing the background of consideration for the complexity of sound amplitude time series, the method for evaluating the complexity, use case of this method and planning of this work in the future.
