Abstract(in English) | Opportunities to share files between personal terminals at specific spots, such as distribution of content at event venues, are increasing. In the future, the size of shared files is expected to increase due to the spread of AR / VR / 3D technologies. BitTorrent, one of the most popular file sharing application, is a suitable system for sharing large files. In BitTorrent, user terminals, called “peers,” divide the shared file into fragments, called “pieces,” and exchange them with each other to avoid the concentration of traffic load on a specific terminal. However, since the proximity of peers is not taken into consideration, the download efficiency decreases when piece exchanges with distant peers occur frequently. In this paper, we propose a file sharing method that improves the download efficiency of peers in the group formed from nearby peers. Simulation results show that the proposed method can improve the download efficiency of peers in the group without significant impact on the other peers. |
