A proposal of admission control method considering requested bandwidth affected by seek-bar operation

Abstract(in English) In recent years, the available network bandwidth is decreased by increasing the mobile devices such as a smartphone or tablet. QoS (Quality of Service) control is required to guarantee the communication quality for users of the network. As one of QoS control techniques, which judges a new arrival flow can be accommodate in the network has been proposed. A conventional admission control methods that focus on the skipping user who use seek-bar. However, skipping user may request higher bitrate of broadband flow than normal broadband user. In this study, we propose admission control method considering requested bandwidth affected by seek-bar operation. Moreover, we evaluate our proposed method by numerical analysis using queuing theory and show the effectiveness of our proposed method.
