A Study on Disaster Evacuation Support Solution using Locally Accessible Cloud System

Abstract(in English) In this paper, We investigate the use of a local networking system as a tool for coordinating the disaster evacuation of people during and in the aftermath of a large-scale disaster. We consider the deployment of a movable “Locally Accessibly Cloud System (LACS) to the affected area when disaster evacuation advisory is issued. The movable LACS continuously broadcasts updated information about the evacuation guidance to users. It is expected that the disaster evacuation can be improved with the proposed method. Our experimental results suggest that a user can easily get evacuation guidance and also share useful information to/from LACS. The evaluation results show that it takes an average of 0.3 ? 11 seconds to get information and an average of 0.02 ? 0.3 seconds to provide information to the LACS server with an average speed between 131 Mbps to 259 Mbps. In the future, we will consider implementation of our method in in the quasi-real situations.
