Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, a control system, where input/output nodes and a controller node with control logic are connected to network, becomes more common in industrial fields. In such a system, if the output node fails to receive the packet from the controller node for a certain time due to temporal communication failures, such as communication delay and packet loss, error handling such as fail-safe process can be performed. However, if temporal communication failure happens frequently, system availability is reduced by frequent error handling. In this paper, based on state-machine based control, we propose a method to enhance availability by distributing a part of state with control logic which requires responsiveness from the control node to the output node and introducing the mechanism to guarantee the consistency of both nodes.
