Abstract(in English) The rapid increase of elderly people living alone and the decline of neighborhood communities in Japan have led to require that private business should deal with assisting the lives of elderly people, as well as neighborhood communities and governments. This paper was aimed at examining how private business cooperates with the residents and governments to create safe neighborhoods where elderly people can live with a peace of mind, through an example of the private service, "Anshin Hello Light Plan" by Yamato group.
