Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Previous studies showed that the correspondence between perceptual and motor systems, such as the correspondence between the pitch of the auditory stimulus and the spatial position of response keys (SMARC effect). However, most of the motor response used are key presses, and variations of motor response are limited. In the current study, we used the vocal response as a motor response and investigated whether lightness of visual stimulus influence vocal pitch in response. The result of the current study showed that high/low luminance correspond to high/low pitch in vocal response.
