Abstract(in English) The optical power resolution (OPR) is one of the most important parameters of a photodetector in optical measurement/sensing systems. We report a theoretical investigation, which consists of a modeling and numerical simulations, on the performance of the amplified-spontaneous-emission feedback circuit (ASEFC) scheme for the first time. Performance characteristics of the ASEFC scheme are clarified by the numerical simulations.
