Abstract(in English) | A transversely disordered optical fiber(TDOF) has been proposed in order to overcome the resolution limit of image transport using conventional imaging fibers. TDOF has a transversely disordered refractive index profile, which makes it possible to localize light in the cross-sectional direction. In order to realize high-resolution image transport in the infrared region, we have fabricated TDOFs using tellurite or chalcogenide glasses. In this paper, we have reported the fabrication method, the localization and the image transport using the TDOFs. |
