A study on avoiding phase-retrieval stagnation for ptychography

Abstract(in English) Diffractive imaging is a method of reconstructing an image from an observed diffraction pattern, in which a computer substitutes the function of lenses. By irradiating an object with radiation or electron beam, the Fourier intensity of the object is observed, but not the Fourier phase. Therefore, GS algorithm has been used to retrieve the Fourier phase. The algorithm repeats imposition of real / inverse constraints and Fourier transform. Ptychography enables imaging of objects which are larger than the beam diameter and complex objects. This method retrieves Fourier phases in multiple regions of an object with each observed Fourier intensity if the overlap ratio is sufficient. However, when the overlap ratio is insufficient, retrieving Fourier phase is stagnant. In this paper, we propose a local search method on ptychography to avoid the stagnation.
