Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Currently, the demand on large capacity satellite communications is continuously growing to disperse the geographical digital divide and to serve a stable communication at terrestrial disasters. As one of the methods to satisfy the demands, multi-satellite multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission using low earth orbit (LEO) satellites has been studied. We previously proposed a low earth orbit-geostationary orbit MIMO (LEO-GEO MIMO) transmission system that achieves throughput expansion with reducing the number of required satellites. However, in the previous study, we did not consider the difference in reception delay caused by the propagation path difference between each satellite and a target user. Therefore, in this paper, we show by numerical simulation that the proposed method can improve the throughput even when the difference in reception delay is considered.
