Abstract(in English) We have constructed an EDF sigma laser (EDF$sigma$L) that employs a wavelength selection element consisting of a cascaded-chirped long period fiber grating (C-CLPG) and a Faraday rotator mirror (FRM) as a sensing probe for temperature measurement. In this configuration, the lightwave guided from the ring-cavity to the C-CLPG using an optical circulator (OC) is reflected by the FRM, and returned to the cavity through the C-CLPG again. That stabilizes the laser operation by compensating for polarization fluctuations in the sensor section. In the experiment, the principle of operation has been successfully demonstrated.
