Abstract(in English) | Recently those who complain of problems such as stiff shoulders and back pain are increasing as the amount of desk works are increasing. In this study we made a controllable air cushion to provide different tactile feedback both when to last bad and good sitting posture. We conducted 2-hours 2 sets of desk work experiments for 10 days to evaluate the possibility of behavioral guidance to make good posture a habit. In order to detect a sitting posture, we built a neural network learning model based on front face image captured from a web camera put on the monitor and pressure sensor data obtained from the pressure sensor sheet installed underneath the seat of a chair. We also made a controllable air cushion to provide four different tactile feedback provided by the amount of filled air in a cushion. We conducted the experiment to evaluate the system in terms of decrease of frequency of bad postures, efficiency of the work and comfortability. We concluded that there was a certain effect of the decrease of frequency of bad postures and positive assessment of improvement of work quality but there was no effect to navigate a short break to bring a good working habit. |
