Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In our previous study, we proposed a method to create whole-body vibration from audio signals of audio-visual contents, and showed that vibration generated from audio signals (ViLA: vibration from low-frequency audio signal) plays an important role in high-level sensibility. A previous study performed evaluations using sensitivity indices such as the sense of presence and sense of verisimilitude; however, it remained unclear whether the ViLA is equivalent to the actual vibrations. In this study, we investigated the effects of the vibration level of ViLA and its frequency characteristics on the evaluation of similarity to the actual vibrations. The results demonstrated high similarity when the vibration level was smaller than the measured value and the carrier frequency was large. In contrast, the cutoff frequency did not affect the evaluation of similarity.
