Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | We design real-time information sharing communication platform consists of multihop-network linked small board computers, microcomputers, reconfigurable device (FPGA) and smart phones. Memories in all terminals form a shared memory covering whole network area. Its prototype is small-scale but provide real-time multimedia communications anytime anywhere with various types of communication media, computational resources, I/Os, and sensors. Environmental data sensed by a terminal remain in the memory of the terminal, and shared by all terminals or CPU resources in networks. Cover area of the multihop network can be autonomously extended using optimum transmission media and routes. This shared memory on mobile multihop networks and associated technologies are designed and verified in Information communication Lab. (Tanaka Lab.) in NIT Tokyo College. Disaster prevention is an application of this wide area shared memory system. In this article, we discuss recent development of the mobile multihop networks and shared memory intending wider area coverage with high speed transfer networks. |
