Abstract(in English) | In this study, a clear-eyed person wears a visual field impairment simulator using a VR device, and changes in reading behavior between clear-eyed and visual field impairment using a virtual e-reader are conducted to investigate how visual field impairment affects individual reading. In this study, we use a VR device with a built-in eye tracker to reproduce the visual field disorder that follows the direction of gaze. We conducted experiments with clear-eyed subjects using the developed device, and found that (1) the number and duration of fixations during reading changed, and (2) there were two types of reading styles: reading with eye movements alone and reading with eye movements and head movements. |
