Abstract(in English) | There always exist possibilities of great disasters caused by accidents of aircrafts, missiles or great meteors. New is the memory of the accidents of MH370 which disappeared without a trace except for the confirmed fact that it had continued flying for hours before falling somewhere. In order to prevent any further such accidents, the author proposed a universal communication system that can utilize existing satellites [1]. Unluckily disastrous air accidents have followed since then. Considering varieties of the disasters, the author studied and proposed a system that can monitor the vast space and air spheres to detect any abnormal flying objects quickly, track their orbits and fly a rescue rocket or aircraft to capture them to lead or carry them to safety. As the earth is round, ground-based RADARs are limited in the ranges hence the role of satellites is important in observing wide areas on the earth. Geo-stationary satellites are suitable for the mission because of their global coverage and capability of broadband communications at all times. A difficulty with GEO lies, however, in the accuracy of the observation, in distinguishing the existence of something abnormal from the background noise. The author has found use of infra-red imaging with 2μm or shorter wavelengths can give the required discrimination. |
