Abstract(in English) | A step-up/step-down power supply circuit with a wide input/output voltage range, which has only one switch in its current path, is developed. In this paper, we propose a novel control of a charge pump which is used for an auxiliary power supply of a control circuit for the power supply circuit. The number of stages of the charge pump is reduced by switching the input voltage source when the power supply circuit starts up. In addition, the efficiency of the charge pump is improved by varying the number of stages depending on the input voltage. The efficiency of the charge pump has been confirmed by a simulation. The simulation results show that the efficiency is improved by up to 5.3 %. |
