A Study on wireless powered relay transmission system

Abstract(in English) This paper investigates wireless powered relay transmission system with radio frequency energy harvesting (RF-EH) in wireless sensor network(WSN). It is assumed that multiple relay stations having RF-EH function exist in relay transmission system. Base station which means destination collects information of residual energy level at each relay station, and selects one relay station for data transmission. In the meantime, the rest of relay station acquires energy from the surrounding radio waves. Detect-and-forward (DetF) method is assumed for relay data transmission. Outage probability is evaluated through computer simulation in the case of one-hop relay transmission under free-space path loss and Rician fading environment. Numerical results show that utilizing RF-EH and multiple relay stations bring significant improvement of outage probability with less EH time.
