Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On VR, users do not always see the specific events and gimmicks content that the creators want them to focus on. For the creators to provide users with the immersive experience they intend, it is necessary to naturally guide the user's gaze in the direction they wish to show in the virtual space. In this paper, we propose a subtle gaze guidance method combining two techniques; gradual brightness modulation and termination of modulation by gaze approaching the guidance area. The experimental results show that the gradual modulation, compared to the sudden modulation, significantly contributes to a more natural and less disturbing viewing experience while maintaining relatively high guidance performance.
