Dustoon: Support System for Improvement of Cleaning using Dust Sensor and Mixed Reality

Abstract(in English) In this research, we propose a cleaning activation system "Dustoon" using mixed reality (MR) in order to improve the motivation for cleaning, which is one of the household chores. In the proposed system, we implemented a function that measures the concentration of dust around the vacuum cleaner using a dust sensor and presents information that visualizes the degree of dirtiness of the cleaned area on the MR head-mounted display (HMD). By erasing the image projected on the dirty area using the Dustoon controller (cleaning tool), it is possible to perform cleaning as if playing a game.
