Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) While many brain regions have been suggested to be involved in mindfulness, the mechanism of information propagation in the brain is unclear. In this study, we formulated the problem as a minimum vertex-cover problem and searched for the optimal solution using a digital annealer in order to identify the brain regions that are important for the realization of the mindfulness state. As a result, eight brain regions were identified, including brain regions suggested to be involved in the mindfulness state by existing research. The results of this study may identify brain regions that are particularly important for the realization of the mindfulness state.
