A Study on Boundary Conduction Mode Vienna Rectifier

Abstract(in English) This paper proposed an analog-based boundary conduction mode (BCM) control for the three-phase three-level Vienna rectifier. The proposed control scheme can be implemented with three low-cost analog BCM PFC IC controllers instead of a high-cost MCU. With the proposed method, all three-phases can be controlled to operate under BCM. Experimental results verify that the soft-switching includes zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) and valley-switching (VS) are achieved, and high efficiency is tested.
