Simulation of Eye-diagram Based on Two-terminal-pair Network

Abstract(in English) An eye-diagram is one of the methods for the evaluation of signal integrity. The eye-diagram is measured by dividing a series of signals into multiple segments at its clock period and superposing them. The eye-diagram is usually measured by the circuit simulator (e.g, ADS or SPICE). The purpose of this paper is to simulate the eye-diagram without circuit simulators. In this paper, we simulated the eye-diagram based on the two-terminal-pair network by using a technical formula computing system (Mathematica). We compared our proposed method with circuit simulators (ADS and HSPICE) on some eye-diagrams. The results showed that the eye-height and the eye-width with our proposed method are well matched to those of ADS and HSPICE in 94.1% and 98.1%, respectively.
