Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, natural disasters such as typhoons and torrential rains have caused severe damage to communication and power distribution facilities such as utility poles and towers, and the problem of collapsed poles blocking roads and hindering rescue operations has been recognized. In this study, we propose a low-cost method to identify the direction of collapsed poles. In this study, we aim to develop a low-cost system for estimating the direction of collapse of utility poles that can be operated even when a disaster occurs. In this paper, as the first step toward the construction of the system, we report on the development of a simulation program for the vibration of utility poles using the FDTD method.
