Abstract(in English) Various solution systems using ICT such as IoT and AI are required to maintain and manage the social infrastructure in the water environment field such as water supply and sewage, rivers, and agricultural water. Conventionally, a system composed of a wired network and an on-premises monitoring device has been used for maintenance and management of these, but problems such as cost have become apparent. On the other hand, disaster prevention and mitigation are urgently needed as a countermeasure against natural disasters such as recent earthquakes and floods. In this paper, we report on issues in social infrastructure, examples of using IoT and AI to solve them, and future prospects such as the creation of smart cities.
