Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, a Wireless Power Transmission System (WPT) has been attracting much attention and is required to be developed as a method for supplying power to a battery applied to the advanced medical devices which are built in the human body such as a pacemaker. In the conventional WPT system, power transmission that mainly uses changes in the electromagnetic field is used, but the magnetic field exposure occurs due to non-contact power supply via the human body, causing dizziness, nausea, and stimulating effects on the human nerves and muscles. Since many health hazards have been reported, it is clear that it is not always the best means for supplying power to the implantable devices. In order to overcome those drawbacks of the existing technologies, the authors of this papers have been proposing a resonance type ultrasonic wireless power transfer (UWPT) system using ultrasonic vibrations of the intermediate insulators (Tissues), which is widely applied in the medical field. In this paper, a new study on the design guidelines for a high-frequency inverters in UWPTs that adopts resonant circuits is presented with the aim of increasing efficiency of the contactless power transmission.
