Abstract(in English) | Kerr frequency combs in high-Q microring resonators have attracted a lot of attention due to their capabilities of generating a coherent pulse train at an ultrahigh repetition rate beyond 100 GHz, which is not easily obtainable using conventional technologies. However, it also becomes challenging to accurately characterize the mode-spacing at such high frequencies. We generate dissipative Kerr solitons in silicon nitride microring resonators with different dimensions, compare the repetition rate measurements, and discuss different approaches to implementing the phase lock-loops. |
