| Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we develop and evaluate an English vocabulary learning websystem that uses the coil (Combination Of Initial Letters) learning method. The coil method is a method that associates a single keyword with a set ofrelated English words for each of the letters that make up the keyword. Theproblem with the coil method is that it is difficult to adjust the difficultylevel of the English words used in the generated questions, since thequestions are generated manually. Therefore, in this paper, we will tacklethe automatic generation of questions using a computer, and provide anenvironment where learners can study the generated questions through a websystem. The system shows an image of each English word and allows the learnerto listen to its pronunciation. In addition, we evaluated the degree ofretention by the score of the English vocabulary test in the case of usingthe coil learning method of the web system developed in this study and in thecase of using the English vocabulary book. As a result, it was found that thelearning effect was higher when the students studied with the our developedweb system than when they studied with the English vocabulary book. Theresults of the questionnaire survey conducted on the users who used thedeveloped web system showed that many users felt that the system was easy tolearn. |
