Abstract(in English) | Toward the interoperability and scalability in smart city applications, we propose a water level measurement system using an ultrasonic sensor based on RESTful accesses and AWS-based cloud services, and we have verified the feasibility of the proposed system. Note that the power supply of the Raspberry Pi was used by the portable battery. In this paper, we investigate operating time of the proposed system using a solar panel, a sealed lead acid battery, and a power supply control module due to evaluate in the practical environment. The power supply of the Raspberry Pi is used by the power supply control module via GPIO. The raspberry pi measures distance once an hour and shuts down after measurement. In addition, the power supply control module cut electricity to the Raspberry Pi. The module resumes power supply to the Raspberry Pi two minutes before the next distance measurement. Therefore, we aim to save power in the proposed system. |
