Abstract(in English) | Various efforts are being made around the world to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections. In this report, we propose a monitoring system for estimating congestion degree on university campuses. In our system, we assume a person entered in university campus has a smartphone with the COVID-19 Contact Confirming Application (COCOA) or a BLE beacon distributed at a gate of campus. Monitoring devices are installed at various areas on campus to collect BLE advertising packets broadcasted by smartphones or BLE beacons. The information is collected to a monitoring server through a campus-wide Wi-Fi network. The server estimates the congestion degree for each area and shows the results to university staffs and students. In this report, we implemented the monitoring device using Raspberry Pi 4 and conducted laboratory experiments to confirm the basic performance of our system. |
