Study of Electronically Switchable Planar Intersection/Non-Intersection Circuit by Microstrip Structure for RF Signal

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes electronically switchable compact planar intersection/non-intersection circuit for RF signal by loading electronic switch into intersection circuit. The output port of the signal can be selected by ungrounding or grounding the middle points of the shunt arm with open stub in the intersection circuit. In addition, the height of the circuit was reduced to about a quarter of wavelength by curving the shunt arm. This proposed structure is expected to have signal integrity because the RF signal does not pass through via and switch element that is inserted in series on RF signal path. Numerical calculation of the scattering characteristics of the proposed circuit showed that the proposed circuit works as switchable intersection/non-intersection circuit for RF signal. Experiment was conducted to verify the validity of the numerical culculation.
