Highly Reliable Screening System for Infectious Diseases using Contact-less Medical Radar and Data Quality Assessment Machine Learning

Abstract(in English) A quarantine based on body temperature has been carried out to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. However, body temperature is affected by factors other than health statuses, such as environmental temperature and age. Therefore, a new quarantine based on the standard deviation of heart rate, respiratory rate, and heart rate interval measured by contact-less medical radar has been proposed. Here, contact-less measured biological signals are characterized by poor quality due to the effects of body movements and other disturbances. To this end, this paper proposes a quarantine system based on an evaluation of the validity of measurements and signal processing for biometric information in healthy individuals and dengue infected patients.
