Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Effect of magnesium oxide (MgO) cathode buffer layer, which was fabricated by a reaction of molybdenum oxide with thermally-deposited magnesium, on the performance of tandem organic solar cells (OSCs) was investigated. The use of the MgO cathode buffer layer in tandem OSCs prevented the increase in the series resistance, thus preventing the decrease in the open-circuit voltage and fill factors. These results show that MgO functions as a new type of cathode buffer layer material in tandem OSCs.
