Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A typical Unmanned aircraft system (UAS) is composed of several unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and a ground station. It is possible to detect a user position by observing Doppler shift which is contained in reception signals at UAV. We previously conducted computer simulations based on ray-tracing method under multipath environments and evaluated Doppler shift distributions. In this research, Doppler shift estimation methods and their performance evaluations are presented for user position detection system based on Doppler shift distributions under 2 types of multipath environmental models such as “city model” and “mountain area model”. From the results of computer simulation, weighted average method of observed Doppler shift shows the best estimation performance but simple averaging method shows better position detection performance compared to other methods. Further investigations should be needed to achieve better positioning performance in sever multipath condition.
