| Abstract(in English) | A large number of studies on VANETs, which use vehicle-to-vehicle communications and/or road-to-vehicle communications, have been conducted in recent years. Most studies on VANETs assume relatively high-traffic scenarios such as urban areas and highways. However, surprisingly few studies assume low-traffic scenarios such as mountain roads and winding roads. In this paper, we propose a flooding method for VANETs in a mountain road environment. This study aims to realize future applications such as neighboring vehicle warning systems on mountain roads. We evaluate our proposed method by using a computer simulation and show its effectiveness from the viewpoints of transmission delay time, packet delivery rate, and the number of packets. |
