Approximate Message-Passing in Spatially Coupled Bilinear Inference Problems

Abstract(in English) This paper considers joint channel and data estimation in cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO)uplink. This estimation problem can be regarded as a spatially coupled bilinear inference problem, in which sensing and signal matrices are jointly estimated from observations in a spatially coupled measurement model. Approximate message-passing(AMP) was proposed in spatially coupled linear inference problems with known sensing matrices. AMP was also proposed for bilinear inference problems with no spatial coupling. This paper extends conventional AMP in these existing works to propose AMP for the spatially coupled bilinear inference problem.
