Short pulse operation of self holding magneto-optical switch

Abstract(in English) We investigate a coplanar waveguide to apply short-pulse electric current for driving self-holding magneto-optical (MO) switch. A coplanar electrode with a characteristic of 50Ω is designed to induce sufficiently intense magnetic field. Magnetization reversal of thin-film magnet under the electrode are observed by a MO Kerr microscope. In addition, temporal response with a raise time of 2 ns is achieved to apply a short pulse current.
