Study on performance improvement of modified belief propagation decoding of Polar codes using permuted factor graphs

Abstract(in English) This report aims to improve the error rate performances of Polar codes using belief propagation (BP) decoding. At first, we show that the BP decoding performance can be improved by modifying the original decoding process. Next, the new decoding method is introduced that applies the above modified method using multiple permuted factor graphs. Then, we compare the both of block and bit error rate performances of the proposed BP decoding scheme with those of the existing BP decoding scheme and the proposed scheme has the superiority and effectiveness compared with the existing scheme in these error rate performances.
