Abstract(in English) The bus location system is designed to alleviate the anxiety of local residents about the arrival of community buses, and the bus is equipped with GPS receivers to inform users of their current location. In Nonoichi City, Ishikawa Prefecture, we have been working on the construction of a bus location system using LoRa for the community buses. Nonoichi is located in the center of Ishikawa Prefecture, and has a completely flat land with no mountains or sea. The size of the city is 4.5 km east and west and 6.7 km north and south, which can be covered by LPWA. So far, we have been working on building a system with 20mW output using a specified low power radio station in FY2019. ARIB was revised to make a 250mW specified low power radio station which not required to be licensed. Therefore, we performed the registration and conducted a characterization study. In addition, we studied a bus location system using 250mW LoRa. In this paper, we report the results of the differential investigation of the propagation characteristics of LoRa in the community bus route in Nonoichi. It also discusses how the characteristic difference affect the system configuration.
