Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to support the education of UML state machine diagrams, studies are being carried out to analyze learners' errors. In the related research, by comparing the process from the creation to the completion of the model with learners with poor grades and learners with good grades, we analyze what differences appear, and use the differences as a errors. However, even good grades learners may suffer, so analysis of good grades learners is necessary. Therefore, in this presentation, we thought that errors could be judged by editing time, and we surveyed 18 learners on editing time and analyzed what kind of editing operations took time. A quantitative analysis was conducted based on logs (a total of approximately 13,000 log files) of state machine diagrams created by learners for each editing operation. As a result, editing time was characterized by over 0-3 minutes, 3-7 minutes, and 7 minutes respectively. When editing time was more than 7 minutes, some of the students in question saw it, so we could be assumed that it was a mistake. Therefore, when the editing time was 7-10 minutes or more, it was possible for the learner to be errors. This gave us the possibility that errors was related to time and could be identified.
