Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Vital signs measurement with phase analysis for mm-wave FMCW radar contains various kinds of noise. Furthermore, frequencies of breathing and heart are very close, so the heart rate is interfered with by the harmonic of the breathing signal and it cannot be solved by the band-pass filter. In this paper, a method based on improved complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise (ICEEMDAN) for remote vital signs monitoring is proposed, which can address the “mode mixing” problem of EMD and improved SNR. The experimental results show that the proposed method cannot only estimate the heart rate from the front with an average RMSE less than 0.075 Hz (4.5 BPM), but the reconstructed heart signal also has high consistency with the ECG waveform. Furthermore, the heart rate also can be measured from the ceiling when volunteers are sitting, and the average RMSE is less than 0.1752 Hz (10.5 BPM). |
